Jessica Chastain has officially passed on the key role of a scientist in the third “Iron Man” which is about to begin filming. No new name has yet been mentioned in connection with the role as yet.
The actress posted on her Facebook page (via THR) that “Sorry to say that Iron Man 3 isn’t going to work out. My schedule is jammed packed and I can’t fit anything else in. The press announced my possible attachment far too soon. I know many of you wanted me to be involved, and I’m so sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully there’ll be another Marvel film in my future. Shane Black and everyone on the IM3 team are really wonderful.”
Meanwhile, Anna Faris has confirmed to Coming Soon that she will not be returning to the “Scary Movie” franchise for the upcoming fifth entry.
Asked this week as to whether she’s involved, she seemed as in the dark on the project as the rest of us – “No, I don’t think I’m going to do it. I don’t think I’m part of that. I don’t know exactly what’s happening with it, but I hear it’s sort of in the works and stuff.”
