Chase Palmer Rewriting Morel’s “Dune”

Chase Palmer (“Number Thirteen,” “The Dallas Buyer’s Club”) is set to do some re-writes on the new adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi saga “Dune” for Paramount Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

Pierre Morel (“Taken,” “From Paris with Love”) recently took over the directorial reigns on the project and Palmer has been hired to incorporate Morel’s ideas into previous scribe Josh Zetumer’s screenplay.

Morel has already spoken about plans on sticking very close to the source material first published in 1965. Kevin Misher and Richard Rubinstein are producing.
