“Charmed,” “Lost Boys” Reboots Delayed

The CW has opted to push development on its high-profile series reboots of female family witch drama “Charmed” and classic 1980s vampire film “The Lost Boys” to next season.

The network is sticking with six pilot orders this season, the same as last year, and with all of them locked in it has meant others earlier in their development cycle like these two had to be either let go or delayed until next season’s developmental cycle.

Sources tell The Live Feed that the draft for “Charmed” didn’t come together in a way the network had hoped.

For now The CW has six pilots under consideration – the “Dynasty” reboot, DC Comics adaptation “Black Lightning,” post-cancer comedy “Life Sentence”, the beauty pageant themed dark comedy “Insatiable”, the brother-and-sister hunting legends series “Searchers”, and the military drama “Valor”.
