Charlize Theron’s high intensity action thriller “The Coldest City,” has undergone a title change and will now go by the name “Atomic Blonde”.
Set on the eve of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Theron plays Agent Lorraine Broughton, MI6’s most lethal assassin. When a British spy has been killed, Broughton is sent to Berlin to retrieve the priceless dossier he was carrying and smuggle it out of the destabilized city, one simmering with revolution and traitors.
James McAvoy, John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones co-star. David Leitch (“John Wick,” “Deadpool 2”) helmed the film from Kurt Johnstad’s adapted screenplay based on a comic by Antony Johnston.
The film will premiere March 12th at the upcoming SXSW Film Festival ahead of a theatrical run on August 11th.
