Channing Tatum has signed on to make his directorial debut on a film adaptation of “Silver Linings Playbook” author Matthew Quick’s “Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock”.
The story centers on a troubled teenager who plans on killing his best friend and then himself. Tatum may star as the teacher who intervenes in the boy’s plan.
Tatum will co-direct and produce alongside longtime collaborator Reid Carolin with Peter Kiernan also producing.
A writer is currently being sought to adapt the script as an earlier version by James Ponsoldt (“The Spectacular Now”) is not being used.
