Chandor Replaces Bigelow On “Triple Frontier”

J.C. Chandor (“All is Lost,” “A Most Violent Year”) has closed a deal to direct the action thriller “Triple Frontier” at Paramount Pictures.

The story is set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil where the Iguazu and Parana rivers converge. The area is famous for being an organized crime and terrorist haven.

Kathryn Bigelow (“Zero Dark Thirty”) was originally planning to helm the movie but after it got shelved, she left. A large ensemble cast is being sought for the project which Will Smith is interested in starring in.
