Twenty years since the first film debuted and ten years since the last one, there may still be life in the “Rush Hour” franchise.
Actor Jackie Chan gave a radio interview with Power 106’s The Cruz Show on Thursday and indicated a fourth film in the series isn’t just in the works, but it looks like it’s finally going forward:
“For the last seven years, we’ve been turning down the script, turning down the script. Yesterday, we just agreed. The script probably at the end of this month will have a second draft, and next year, probably [we will] start. I hope – if Chris Tucker agrees.”
Chan starred in the films as Hong Kong Detective Inspector Lee who found himself paired with LAPD Detective James Carter (Tucker). Brett Ratner directed all three films, no word as yet if he’ll return.
