Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright, and Timothee Chalamet are the latest names rumored to be involved in “The French Dispatch,” celebrated filmmaker Wes Anderson’s upcoming post-WW2 France-set next feature which is
now in production in Angouleme in southern France.
Contrary to prior reports, this tenth film of the director will not be a musical and is described as a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in 20th century Paris.
The action will cross three storylines with Bill Murray, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton are definitely onboard. Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman, Lea Seydoux have previously been rumored (their status on the project is unknown). Indian Paintbrush is funding the project which will hopefully debut next year.
