Filming has resumed earlier than expected in Atlanta on the seventh “Fast and Furious” movie following in the wake of Paul Walker’s tragic death late last year says New York Daily News.
While re-writes have allowed some of Walker’s scenes to be excised, the report indicates they weren’t quite enough. As a result, the production will use a mix of body doubles and CGI technology for key scenes that the late actor didn’t shoot:
“They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul’s physique and they will be used for movement and as a base. Paul’s face and voice will be used on top using CGI.”
There is still between six to eight weeks left of principal photography on the movie. Last week, Vin Diesel said: “The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one… only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series.
P.s. The long awaited completion of Seven, begins…”
The film is currently targeting an April 10th 2015 release.
