Current SNL star Cecily Strong reportedly has a key supporting role carved out for her by screenwriters Katie Dippold and Paul Feig in the upcoming all-female “Ghostbusters” reboot says Film Divider.
The site claims that the role is “one of the biggest non-Ghostbuster parts aside from the villain”. She is said to be an authority figure who liaises with the heroines, privately backing their activities and acknowledging their legitimacy.
Publicly however she must denounce the group to the media in order to avoid panic amongst the wider populous.
Strong would mark just the latest SNL alum to join the cast which already includes fellow current cast mates Kate McKinnon & Leslie Jones along with previous cast member Kristen Wiig.
