Though the network has yet to announce any official pick-ups, CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves told an investor conference this morning in Florida that they intend to renew almost all of their new shows that premiered this Fall.
Moonves says: “We have five new shows on the air. Of the five, I believe all five of them will be renewed. And we own four of them.” That translates to renewals seemingly set for “Code Black,” “Limitless,” “Life in Pieces” and “Supergirl”.
What the fifth show might be is unclear, the Jane Lynch-led comedy “Angel From Hell” was pulled from the schedule while both “Rush Hour” and “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” have yet to premiere.
As for new shows, the network ordered seventeen pilots for the coming season but isn’t expected to launch more than a few – “You will not see more than four or five new shows ordered out of those seventeen” he says as, for the most part, the network has a stable roster of programs wil no holes to fill.
