Copies of the pilot for the CBS Fall drama “Supergirl” has seemingly leaked onto file sharing pirate sites early this morning – a full six months before the episode is scheduled to go to air.
What makes this more damaging is that the copies that have leaked are of high quality – in full 1080p and without any evident watermarks according to piracy-tracking firm Excipio.
The same firm said that within the first 6.5 hours, the pilot had been downloaded more than 120,000 times worldwide. TV networks have released pilots in advance of show debuts as a marketing tool, but never this far in advance.
CBS has not yet commented on the leak.
