CBS is very happy with its freshman line-up of series it would seem. First up, the network has renewed “Evil,” its new drama from “The Good Wife” creators Michelle and Robert King, for a second season.
The first season is thirteen episodes and was designed that way so won’t be getting any additional episodes and will finish up on January 30th 2020. It’s likely a second season will be that number of episodes as well.
On top of that, the network has handed out full-season orders to “All Rise,” “Carol’s Second Act,” “The Unicorn,” and “Bob Hearts Abishola” – taking their episode counts from 13 to 22 each. No renewals for any of them yet, but the full season orders are a strong sign of confidence.
Even so, none of the new Fall shows from the big four network’s has performed very well to date with Fox’s “Prodigal Son” getting the first full season order followed shortly by their animated series “Bless The Harts” scoring the first renewal.
