Cbs Films Switches To Streaming Focus

CBS Films will reportedly be folded into CBS Entertainment Group over the next year.

The company will release its next four scheduled films in cinemas – “Five Feet Apart,” “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark,” “Pavarotti” and “Lexi” – which will all be released through their partnership with Lionsgate.

After that, CBS Films’ will shift their focus to content for the company’s streaming service CBS All Access in order to compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon.

CBS Films’ name will continue on releases from CBS Films, and it sounds like much of the executive structure in charge will remain in place.
