Jim Caviezel (“The Passion of Christ”) and James Frain (“True Blood,” “The Tudors”) have joined the cast of the thriller “Transit” for After Dark Films says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows a band of thieves on the run from a bank robbery who stash their stolen money in a family SUV at a rest stop.
The suburban family is on a camping trip and unaware of the murderous band of outlaws on their trail. Caviezel will play the protective father of the family.
Elisabeth Rohm plays the family’s mother. Harold Perrineau and Diora Baird play two of the bank robbers. No word on Frain’s role though it’s likely to also be one of the robbers.
Antonio Negret is directing the drama. Michael Gilvary (“According to Greta”) penned the screenplay and Joel Silver will serve as executive produce.
