Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Andrew Howard (“Bates Motel”) and Constance Zimmer (“House of Cards”) have joined the cast of the third season of “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.”. Howard will play Banks, an authoritative and intimidating agent. Zimmer will play the season’s main villain, the head of a mysterious new government agancy that will compete head-to-head with Coulson and his team in the search for inhuman. [Source: Deadline]

Pitch Perfect 3
Brittany Snow is closing her deal to reprise her role of Chloe in “Pitch Perfect 3” for Universal Pictures and Gold Circle. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have already closed deals to return, with Kay Canon on board to pen the script. [Source: Variety]

Berlin Station
Rhys Ifans (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) is set to star opposite Richard Jenkins in the ten-episode contemporary spy series “Berlin Station” for Epix. Michaël Roskam is executive producing and will direct the first two episodes this Fall.

The story follows Daniel Meyer, a newly anointed case officer who has arrived at the CIA foreign station in Berlin to uncover the source of a leak who has supplied information to a whistleblower. Ifans plays his mentor, a darkly charming, tenacious agent and jaded veteran. [Source: Deadline]

Son Of Zorn
Jason Sudeikis, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows and Artemis Pebdani will join Johnny Pemberton in the animated/live-action fantasy comedy “Son Of Zorn” which Phil Lord and Chris Miller are producing. Production wrapped this week.

The story follows a warrior (Sudeikis) reconnecting with his estranged live-action son and ex-wife while suffering through a mundane office job and the banality of suburban life is harder than waging war in his distant, animated homeland. [Source: Deadline]

Chris Browning (“Sons of Anarchy”) has signed on to play the DC Comics super villain Reactron on the upcoming CBS series “Supergirl”. The character will debut on the show’s third episode in early November.

In the comics he was a US soldier serving in Vietnam who was seemingly killed but became a being of nuclear energy who set out to get vengeance against a number of superheroes. In this version, he’ll have battled Superman in the past. [Source: EW]
