Anton Yelchin (“Star Trek”) and Dakota Johnson (“21 Jump Street”) have joined the cast of Michael Almereyda’s modern-day Shakespeare adaption “Cymbeline”. Filming begins next week in New York.
Cymbeline takes place in a crime-ravaged America in the 21st Century as a drug-dealing biker gang battles corrupt police officers. Yelchin will portray Cloten, the son of the Queen (Milla Jovovich). Johnson will play Imogen, the daughter of King Cymbeline (Ed Harris). [Source: Screen Daily]
The Ballad of Pablo Escobar
John Leguizamo (“Kick Ass 2”) is one of two names in contention for the role of legendary drug dealer Pablo Escobar for Brad Furman’s “The Ballad Of Pablo Escobar”. Filming begins next month in Colombia.

The Hundred-Foot Journey
Indian actor Om Puri (“East Is East”) has been cast in Lasse Hallstrom’s adaptation of Richard C. Morais’ best-seller “The Hundred-Foot Journey” at DreamWorks. Helen Mirren also stars.
The story follows an Indian family that moves to France and opens an Indian restaurant 100ft across the street from a Michelin-starred French restaurant. The ensuing battle between the eateries tests the power of family, loyalty and love. [Source: Deadline]
Erich Bergen (“Gossip Girl”) will reprise his role of Four Seasons singer Bob Gaudio in Clint Eastwood’s film adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical “Jersey Boys”.
Mike Doyle (“Green Lantern”) and Johnny Cannizzaro have also joined the film as music producer Bob Crewe, and The Variety Trio founding member Nick DeVito respectively. [Source: Deadline]
