Casting: Wilson, McCord, Connelly, Skarsgard

IM Global is set to finance and co-produce “The Grey” and “The A-Team” director Joe Carnahan’s new action feature “Stretch”.

Patrick Wilson has signed on to star in the project which Blumhouse Productions is producing. Plot details are unknown, but Carnahan says it’ll be a “stripped down, bare bones basics” movie. [Source: Screen Daily]

Jennifer Connelly, Cillian Murphy and Melanie Laurent have joined Claudia Llosa’s drama “Cry/Fly”. The story is set in Minnesota and northern Canada over two time periods.

The film has two intertwining story lines, one being a mother (Jennifer Connelly) is tragically seperated from her terminally ill daughter. Twenty years later she’s gone missing and her son is persuaded by a journalist to go in search of her. [Source: Variety]

Hector and the Search for Happiness
Stellan Skarsgard has joined the cast of Peter Chelsom’s “Hector And The Search For Happiness”. Skarsgard will play a rich jaded banker.

The story follows an eccentric psychiatrist who sets out on a global quest when his patients stop getting happier. Simon Pegg and Christopher Plummer also star in the film which begins shooting in January. [Source: Deadline]
