Rachel Weisz is attached to star in the indie grounded sci-fi feature “Cloud One” from writer/director Goran Dukic (“Wristcutters: A Love Story”). Ido Ostrowsky and Nora Grossman will produce and filming is slated to begin this spring. [Source: Variety]

The Goldfinch
Luke Kleintank (“The Man in the High Castle,” “Bones”) is set to join the ensemble cast of the film adaptation of Donna Tartt’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book “The Goldfinch” at Warner Bros. Pictures and Amazon Studios. John Crowley helms the film. Kleintank will play Platt Barbour, the older brother of Andy who is friends with the leading character Theo (Ansel Elgort). A Million Little Pieces
Billy Bob Thornton, Charlie Hunnam and Carla Juri (“Blade Runner 2049”) have scored major roles in the film adaptation of the James Frey novel “A Million Little Pieces”. Filming on the eOne title begins January 25th under the helm of Sam Taylor-Johnson who co-wrote the script with her husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Thornton plays the role of Leonard, a mysterious tough guy who became the guardian angel at a rehab facility for the main character who tried to end his addiction problems before they killed him. Giovanni Ribisi also stars. [Source: Deadline]

Into the Ashes
Frank Grillo, Luke Grimes and “Longmire” lead Robert Taylor will star in the Aaron Harvey-directed crime thriller “Into the Ashes” which begins shooting next week in Alabama. James Badge Dale and David Cade co-star.

Grimes plays an ex-con adjusting to a normal life in rural Alabama and trying to rectify a relationship he has with his father-in-law (Taylor), all the while dealing with the one person from his past (Grillo) who threatens to pull his world apart. [Source: Deadline]
