The Longest Ride
Britt Robertson has scored the female lead role in George Tillman Jr.’s film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel “The Longest Ride”. Scott Eastwood signed on to star in the film earlier this week.

The story follows a young college student (Robertson) who falls in love with a cowboy (Eastwood), with this budding relationship set to alter their lives forever. Meanwhile, in a nearby town, a 91-year-old man becomes stranded after a car crash, forcing him to reflect on the love of his life whom he lost. [Source: Deadline]

English actor Alex Roe (“The Cut,” The Fugitives”) has scored the male lead in ABC Family’s tennis-themed drama pilot “Unstrung” which Jay Karas is slated to direct.

The story is set on the pro tennis tour where brother and sister Luke (Roe) and Ellie Holt (Chanel Celaya) compete to move up the ranks. When Luke discovers his father has kept a potentially life-altering secret from him, his world is turned upside down. [Source: Deadline]
