Michael Vartan (“Alias,” “Bates Motel”) has scored the male lead in Phil Claydon’s “Crawlspace” at New Line. Filming begins March 24th in Los Angeles.

Jake McDorman (“Greek,” “Shameless”) and Sammy Sheik (“Lone Survivor”) in talks to join Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller and Cory Hardrict in Clint Eastwood’s “American Sniper” at Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow. Filming begins next month in Morocco.
Several real-life Navy SEALs are expected to co-star in the movie in which Cooper plays decorated marksman Chris Kyle, a man credited with the most sniper kills in U.S. military history. McDorman will play Kyle’s comrade Ryan ‘Biggles’ Job who is the film’s comic relief. [Source: The Wrap]
Under Milk Wood
Rhys Ifans (“The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Elementary”) will star in Kevin Allen’s film version of Dylan Thomas’ classic radio drama “Under Milk Wood” for Welsh broadcaster S4C. The story follows the inhabitants of a fictional Welsh fishing village.
Ifans will play First Man and Captain Tom Cat, roles played by Richard Burton and Peter O’Toole in the 1972 film adaptation. A six week shoot, of both English and Welsh-language versions, takes place this summer on the west coast of Wales. [Source: Screen]
Moon and the Sun
Ben Lloyd-Hughes (“Divergent”) has joined the cast of Sean McNamara’s indie fantasy film “The Moon and the Sun” starring Pierce Brosnan, Benjamin Walker, Kaya Scodelario and Fan Bingbing. Filming begins at the end of the month
Brosnan plays King Louis XIV whose search for immortality leads him to capture and steal the life force from a mermaid (Fan). His 18-year-old illegitimate daughter (Scodelario) discovers the creature and strikes up a friendship with her. [Source: THR]
