The Last Space
Charlize Theron is in talks to star in the Sean Penn-directed African drama “The Last Space”. Adèle Exarchapoulos (“Blue Is the Warmest Color”) also has a small role.

Carmen Ejogo (“Alex Cross,” “Sparkle”) will play late civil rights activist Coretta Scott King, wife of Martin Luther King Jr. (David Oyelowo), in Ava DuVernay’s “Selma”.

Ejogo played Coretta before in the 2001 HBO television movie “Boycott” opposite her real-life husband Jeffrey Wright. [Source: The Examiner]

Paul Blart 2
Daniella Alonso (“Revolution”) is attached to play the love interest of Kevin James’ character in the upcoming comedy sequel “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2”. In the follow-up, Blart (James) is attending a Security Guard Expo in Las Vegas where he takes on a group of dangerous art thieves.

Alonso will play Divina Martinez, the hotel general manager who is completely perplexed when Blart presumes that she’s hitting on him. Flustered yet determined to clarify the situation, she reaches out to Blart several times, only to reinforce his original theory. [Source: The Wrap]

John Magaro (“Not Fade Away”) has joined the cast of Todd Haynes’ drama “Carol” for The Weinstein Company. Magaro will play Dannie, a writer with an artistic spirit who works at the New York Times.

Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Kyle Chandler co-star in the film, based on Patricia Highsmith’s novella “The Price of Salt,” which chronicles the burgeoning and tempestuous relationship between two very different women in 1950s NYC. [Source: The Wrap]
