“The Intouchables” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past” star Omar Sy has joined the cast of the franchise reboot “Jurassic World” at Universal Pictures.
Sy revealed the news in a tweet, saying he’s a “fan of this saga from the beginning” and is “proud to be part of the cast”. Both director Colin Trevorrow and producer Frank Marshall also tweeted confirmations of the news.
Jeremy Irons (“The Borgias”) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors”) will join Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Redgrave in the film adaptation of Sebastian Barry’s 2008 novel “The Secret Scripture”. Filming begins this June in Ireland.
It is not yet known what characters Irons and Rhys Meyers are playing in the film about an elderly woman who writes an autobiography about her life and five decade incarceration in a mental hospital. [Source: The Irish Independent]

Marion Cotillard has joined the voice cast of the animated thriller “Un Monde truque” (A Rigged World). A Canadian/France co-production set in 1941.

Mena Suvari has scored the lead role in Amazon Studios’ drama pilot “Hysteria”. Suvari plays Dr. Logan Harlow , a socially awkward neurologist/psychiatrist who travels to her hometown of Austin to investigate a mysterious epidemic among high school girls that may be spreading through technology.
