Liev Schreiber will play President Lyndon B. Johnson in Lee Daniels’ “The Butler.” The biopic follows Eugene Allen, a White House servant who worked for eight First Families.

Schreiber joins an impressive cast list that includes Robin Williams, Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Melissa Leo, James Marsden, Mariah Carey, Vanessa Redgrave and Alex Pettyfer. [Source: Deadline]

Tyler Labine, Damon Wayans Jr., and Lucy Punch have joined Rob Pearlstein’s comedy “Someone Marry Barry” which began shooting this week in Los Angeles.

The story follows three friends who plot to get rid of their socially inappropriate friend Barry by finding him a wife. But when Barry finally meets a woman, she turns out to be just like him, and now the guys have to deal with not one but two ‘Barrys’. [Source: THR]

White House Down
Joey King (“The Dark Knight Rises”) will play Channing Tatum’s precocious daughter in Roland Emmerich’s action drama “White House Down” at Sony Pictures.

The story finds the White House under siege by a paramilitary group that holds everyone inside hostage. Tatum stars as a Secret Service agent who leaps into action to save the hostages (which include his daughter). [Source: Variety]
