Casting: Sherlock, Bones, Step, Expecting

Lara Pulver, probably best known as Sookie’s fairy godmother on “True Blood”, has been cast in the role of Irene Adler in “A Scandal In Belgravia”, the first episode of the second season of the BBC’s “Sherlock”.

The character is famously a romantic interest for Holmes. The season is scheduled to premiere around October/November, around the same time as the tenth season of “Spooks” in which Pulver will also appear. [Source: Den of Geek]

Bag of Bones
Anika Noni Rose (“Dreamgirls,” “The Good Wife”) has been cast in A&E’s upcoming Stephen King four-hour miniseries “Bag of Bones.”

Rose will play Sara Tidwell, a blues singer who haunts a bestselling novelist (Pierce Brosnan) embroiled in a bitter custody battle. [Source: Variety]

Model Ryan Guzman has joined the cast of a fourth “Step Up” movie at Summit Entertainment which Scott Speer is directing.

Guzman will play the male lead opposite “So You Think You Can Dance” star Kathryn McCormick. Shooting kicks off this Summer. [Source: Reuters]

What To Expect When You’re Expecting
Genesis Rodriguez has joined the cast of Kirk Jones’ ensemble comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” at Lionsgate. Based on the Heidi Murkoff novel, the story follows four couples as they prepare for parenthood.

Rodriguez will play the roommate of Anna Kendrick’s character. Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Rock, Matthew Morrison, Chace Crawford and Brooklyn Decker also star. [Source: ]
