Cold in July
Sam Shepard, Vinessa Shaw, and Don Johnson are set to join Jim Mickle’s film adaptation of Joe R. Lansdale’s novel “Cold in July”. Shooting begins next year.

The story follows an everyday builder (Michael C. Hall) who kills a burglar in self-defense. The thief’s father sets out on a path of vengeance for his slain son by aiming to dispose of the home builder’s kids. [Source: Variety]

Pudsey: the Movie
Comedian David Walliams is set to voice the title character in Nick Moore’s “Pudsey: the Movie” which begins a six-week shoot this month in south England.

Jessica Hynes, John Sessions, Luke Neal, Izzy Meikle-Smith and Luke Tittensor star in the project about the British dog that rose to prominence as an act on “Britain’s Got Talent”. [Source: Screen Daily]

Bill Nighy, Imelda Stanton, Dominic West, Paddy Considine, Joseph Gilgun, Ben Schnetzer and George MacKay are all set to star in Matthew Warchus’ gay comedy “Pride” for Proud Films. An eight week shoot begins in London and Wales starting October 7th.

Set in Summer 1984, the story follows a group of gay activists who decide to raise money to support the families of the striking miners. When it’s obvious the Union doesn’t want their help, they head to a Welsh mining village to make their donation in person. [Source: Screen Daily]

Greta Gerwig and Brady Corbet have joined the cast of Mia Hansen-Love’s “Eden” which chronicles the rise of electronic music in the 1990s.
