Agent X
John Shea (“Lois and Clark,” “Gossip Girl”) will play U.S. President Eckhart in the drama “Agent X” for TNT. The character is described as a Southern politician and down-to-earth man.

The story follows an unseen person who works to protect the country and its citizens, in times of extreme crisis and by any means necessary, and answers directly to the Vice President Natalie Maccabee (Sharon Stone). [Source: The Live Feed]

Cory Michael Smith (“Camp X-Ray”) has signed on to Todd Haynes’ “Carol,” an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s “The Price of Salt,” for the Weinstein Company. Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara also star.

The story chronicles the relationship between two very different women in 1950s New York City. Smith will play Tommy, a seemingly charming traveling salesman who meets both characters on the road. Filming begins mid-March. [Source: Deadline]

David Strathairn is set to star in ABC’s high-concept drama series pilot “Clementine”. Strathairn will play Henry, the father of the title character.
