Casting: Reynor, Ameen, Jogia, Nolte

Jack Reynor, Paddy Considine, David Thewlis, Sean Harris and Elizabeth Debicki have joined the cast of Justin Kurzel’s new “Macbeth” film adaptation for See-Saw Films. Iain Canning, Laura Hastings-Smith and Emile Sherman will produce.

Lila and Eve
Aml Ameen (“Lee Daniels’ The Butler”) has been cast opposite Jennifer Lopez in the Lifetime Films revenge drama “Lila and Eve”. Filming begins next month in Atlanta.

Ameen plays the older son of Lila (Viola Davis), a grief-stricken mother whose youngest son was killed in a drive-by shooting. She sets out on a killing spree with a woman (Lopez) who lost her daughter to avenge them by taking out the city’s drug dealers. [Source: Deadline]

Shangri-La Suite
Avan Jogia (“Twisted”) is in talks for a role in Eddie O’Keefe 1970s-set “Shangri-La Suite”. Jogia plays Teijo Littlefoot, an old friend of Jack (Luke Grimes) who heads to LA in search of a sex change.

The story follows two young lovers (Emily Browning, Grimes) who meet in a mental hospital and the pair set out to fulfill what one believes is his destiny – to kill Elvis Presley. [Source: Deadline]

Always on My Mind
Nick Nolte and Glenn Close will star in “Rock of Ages” creator Chris D’Arienzo new music-based drama “Always on My Mind” for Occupant Entertainment.

Nolte plays an ageing rock star who succumbs to dementia while his wife (Close) is left to pick up the pieces of his hard-lived rock and roll life. [Source: Screen]
