In A Valley of Violence
James Ransone (“Generation Kill,” “Inside Man”) has joined the cast of Ti West’s “In A Valley Of Violence” at Blumhouse Productions. John Travolta and Ethan Hawke also star.

Hawke plays a drifter seeking revenge on the crooks who killed his best friend. Ransone will play the son of Travolta’s character. Taissa Farmiga and Karen Gillan also star as hotel operating sisters. [Source: Deadline]

Tim Roth is set to play Alabama Governor George Wallace in Ava DuVernay’s upcoming civil rights film “Selma”. Wallace favored segregation, his actions galvanising Martin Luther King Jr. (David Oyelowo) and led to the famed 1965 march.

Wallace vowed to stop the march, Alabama State Troopers brutally beating the first wave of protestors. The subsequent national outrage led to an increase in protesters and helped President Lyndon Johnson (Tom Wilkinson) to push forth the Voting Rights Act. [Source: Deadline]

Actress Famke Janssen has let slip that Dougray Scott has joined the cast of “Taken 3”. The pair currently star together in Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove”.

Liam Neeson reprises his role as retired CIA agent Bryan Mills in the sequel which was filming earlier this year. [Source: XRock]

Corey Stoll (“House of Cards”) and Laila Robins (“Bored to Death”) have joined the cast of the fourth season of Showtime’s “Homeland”.

Stoll will guest star in several episodes as the CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan. Robins is joining as a regular, playing the role of U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Martha Boyd. [Source: Showtime]
