Daniel Radcliffe is attached to star in Peter Sollett’s comedy “You Shall Know Our Velocity” which begins shooting next spring. Wells Tower adapted the screenplay.

Based on Dave Eggers’ bestseller, the story follows a pair of friends who travel to the Pyramids to scatter their pal’s ashes and resolve to give away an insurance pay-out to those in need. [Source: Screen

The Runner
Nicolas Cage has signed on to star in Austin Stark’s contemporary political drama “The Runner” for Paper Street Films and Back Lot Pictures. Filming begins in June in New Orleans.

Set in the aftermath of the 2010 BP oil spill, Cage plays an idealistic but flawed New Orleans congressman who is forced to confront his dysfunctional life after his career is destroyed in a sex scandal. [Source: THR

Untitled Heist Film
Kristen Wiig has signed on to star with Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson in Jared Hess’s untitled true story heist project (previously titled “Loomis Fargo”) at Relativity. Filming begins in July in North Carolina.

The story follows four dim-witted Southerners who robbed almost $20 million from an armored truck. Wiig will play the workplace crush of unhappy armored car driver Galifianakis. She uses her feminine wiles to join her and her accomplices in a plan to rob a bank vault. [Source: THR

Arms and the Dudes
Jonah Hill has been involved in table reads and may hop onboard “Arms and the Dudes,” the first project of actor Bradley Cooper and director Todd Phillips’ new production company. Phillips is polishing the script ahead of a shoot later this year.

Based on a Rolling Stone article, the story tells of two stoners from Miami Beach who ended up becoming arms dealers for the U.S. government. [Source: THR

Djimon Hounsou, Alexis Knapp, and Sammy Shaikh have joined Murali Thalluri’s post-apocalyptic adventure “One” at Main Street Films. Shooting begins later this year in South Africa.

The story is set in a post-pandemic world where the survivors are divided into racial groups all fighting for a cure. Knapp pays a seemingly immune woman who is captured and sold to a medical research facility. [Source: Variety
