Imogen Poots, Sarah Silverman and Tim Meadows will co-star in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy “Conner4real” from the Lonely Island trio, Universal Pictures and Apatow Productions. Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer are directing and co-starring in the film.

Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk
Ang Lee’s film adaptation of Ben Fountain’s novel “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” has found its squad of Iraq War veterans to join Joe Alwyn in the title role. Also onboard are Makenzie Leigh as his Texas cheerleader love interest, Arturo Castro as Mango, Barney Harris as Sykes, Beau Knapp as Crack, Mason Lee as Foo, Brian ‘Astro’ Bradley as Lodis, and Ismael Cruz Cordova as Holiday.
Set entirely during football game, the story follows a unit of decorated Iraq war soldiers who are back stateside to participate in patriotic events to boost support for the war, they become disillusioned with the military and noncombatant civilians when they learn they’re going to be sent back for another tour. Independence Day 2
Patrick St. Esprit (“Draft Day”) has joined and Vivica A. Fox is confirmed to return for the science fiction sequel “Independence Day 2”. Esprit will play Secretary of Defense Tanner, reporting to the US President (Sela Ward) in the film which opens next June.
Fox has confirmed she has begun filming her scenes and is mostly involved with actors Jeff Goldblum and Jesse Usher. Her character, a stripper in the first film, is now a hospital administrator. [Source: Deadline]
“Orange Is the New Black” writer Sian Heder will make their directoral debut on the dramatic comedy “Tallulah” which “Juno” duo Ellen Page and Allison Janney are attached to star in.
The story follows a woman who rescues a baby from her reckless mother and pretends the child is hers, with the help of her ex-boyfriend’s mother. Everyone assumes the baby girl has been kidnapped, and when she is returned to her rightful mother, the three women form a close bond. [Source: The Wrap]
The Belko Experiment
Tony Goldwyn (“Scandal”) and Melonie Diaz (“Fruitvale Station”) have joined the Greg McLean-directed, James Gunn-produced “The Belko Experiment,” joining the previously announced John Gallagher Jr. Filming begins next month in Bogota, Colombia.
Goldwyn plays the CEO in charge of the company’s South American office who finds it hard to start taking orders when the office employees are mysteriously forced to either start killing each other or be killed. [Source: Heat Vision]
