Rememory
Julia Ormond is confirmed to be co-starring opposite Peter Dinklage in Mark Palansky’s “Rememory”. The story revolves around a professor who mysteriously dies just before the release his game changing big invention.

Ormond replaces Catherine O’Hara in the role of the professor’s spouse Carolyn, who discovers the memory recoding and playing device. With the help of Dinklage’s character, she uses the invention to get to the bottom of her husband’s death. Palansky and Mike Vukadinovich co-wrote the film and shooting begins this month in Vancouver. [Source: Deadline]

The Last Word
Anne Heche, Philip Baker Hall, Scott Speedman and Tom Everett Scott have joined Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried in the Mark Pellington-directed “The Last Word” for Bleecker Street. Stuart Ross Fink’s script has MacLaine as a retired businesswoman who writes her own obituary to ensure her life story is told her way.

Seyfried portrays a local newspaper writer who takes up the task of finding out the truth about her. Heche plays MacLaine’s estranged daughter, Hall MacLaine’s ex-husband, Speedman a local DJ, and Scott is Seyfried’s editor. [Source: Variety]

The Oath
“Everest” and “Contraband” director Baltasar Kormakur is not only co-writing, producing and directing but is also set to act in the Icelandic-language psychological thriller “The Oath” which is currently filming. Kormakur will play a father who sets off on a mission to try to pull his daughter away from the world of drugs and petty crime, only to discover that danger can be found in unexpected places. Heavy Duty
Comedian Josh Gad will star in the comedy “Heavy Duty” at Paramount Pictures based on an idea he scripted with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. Gad, Mary Parent and Cale Boyter will produce.

The story follows an ordinary guy who believes losing weight will help him live a more extraordinary life. He signs up for a wellness retreat with a group of fellow underachievers, only to face an unexpected test when things go awry. [Source: Deadline]

Fifty Shades Freed
Arielle Kebbel (“UnREAL,” “Ballers”) has joined the cast of “Fifty Shades Freed,” the third film in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise. ‘Freed’ and the second film “Fifty Shades Darker” are being shot back-to-back with plans for a February 2017 & 2018 release respectively.

Kebbel will play Gia Matteo, a beautiful architect who Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) hires to build his home. Ana gives her the nickname ‘Miss-Provocative-And-Unfortunately-Good-At-Her-Job’. [Source: Deadline]
