UFC fighter Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou is joining the ninth installment of “The Fast and Furious” franchise at Universal Pictures. Ngannou role is reportedly being kept under wraps.

Ngannou is #2 in the heavyweight division and most recently beat Junior dos Santos with a 71 second knockout. Justin Lin has returned to direct the latest installment in the franchise which is currently shooting ahead of a May 22nd 2020 release. [Source: MMA Mania]

After We Collided
Charlie Weber, Louise Lombard, Candice King, Karimah Westbrook and Rob Estes have all joined “After We Collided,” the sequel to this year’s young adult hit “After” from Voltage Pictures and based on Anna Todd’s best-selling book series. Todd co-wrote the screenplay for the sequel with Mario Celaya and is producing as well.

Roger Kumble is directing while Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Dylan Sprouse, Shane Paul McGhie, Samuel Larsen, Khadijha Red Thunder and Dylan Arnold also star in the follow-up. Sophie Cookson (“Kingsman: The Secret Service,” “Red Joan”) is in negotiations to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Antoine Fuqua’s action thriller “Infinite” at Paramount. Based on D. Eric Maikranz’s novel “The Reincarnationist Papers,” Ian Shorr is adapting the script and filming begins this Fall for an August 2020 release.

The story centers on the secret society Cognomina whose members have total recall of their past lives. A troubled young man haunted by memories of two past lives stumbles upon the centuries-old society and decides to join their ranks. Ian Shorr is adapting the story for the screen. [Source: Variety]

Untitled Post-Apocalyptic Film
Emmy winner Kyle Chandler has come onboard the George Clooney-directed untitled post-apocalyptic film at Netflix. Clooney and Felicity Jones co-star while Mark L. Smith penned the script based on Lily Brooks-Dalton’s 2016 novel “Good Morning, Midnight”.

Chandler is set to play an American astronaut in the film which follows the parallel stories of Augustine (Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to make contact with the crew of the Aether spacecraft as they try to return home to Earth. [Source: Deadline]

There’s Someone Inside Your House
Sydney Park, Theodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Dale Whibley, Jesse LaTourette, Burkely Duffield and Diego Josef will lead the Shawn Levy and James Wan -produced ensemble horror movie “There’s Someone Inside Your House” for Netflix. Patrick Brice (“Corporate Animals”) is directing from a script by Henry Gayden (“Shazam!”).

An adaptation of the book by Stephanie Perkins, the story sees the graduating class at Osborne High being targeted by a masked assailant intent on exposing the darkest secret of each victim. Only a group of misfit outsiders can stop the killings before their own secrets are revealed. Dan Cohen and Michael Clear will also produce the film which begins shooting next week in Vancouver.
