He played the antagonist during the final season of “Deadwood”, now veteran actor Gerald McRaney is returning to the western genre for Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” at Weinstein Co.
The story follows a slave-turned-bounty hunter (Foxx) on a mission to rescue his wife from her sadistic slavemaster. McRaney’s role is unknown, but shooting is slated to kick off in November. [Source: Variety]
“The IT Crowd” star Richard Ayoade has beaten out “Rush Hour” star Chris Tucker for the role of Jamarcus in the Akiva Schaffer’s comedy “Neighborhood Watch” at Fox.

Resident Evil: Retribution
Boris Kodjoe is returning for the upcoming fifth film in the series “Resident Evil: Retribution”. Kodjoe played Luther West in the previous entry “Resident Evil: Afterlife”.
The actor also says the return of actor Colin Salmon, whose character died in the first film, is being kept top secret as it’s “intrinsic to the plot”. Paul W.S. Anderson is shooting the film Toronto. [Source: STYD]
