Long Time Gone
Meg Ryan is in advanced negotiations to star in the indie drama “Long Time Gone” which “Precious” producer Sarah Siegel-Magness will direct.

The story centers on a broken family that finds itself healed when the girlfriend of the youngest son moves in and is adapted from April Stevens’ novel “Angel, Angel”. Shooting begins this Fall in Los Angeles. [Source: The L.A. Times]

He’s been linked for a while, now Jeff Bridges has been confirmed to be cast alongside Ryan Reynolds in Universal’s supernatural tentpole “R.I.P.D.”

Reynolds plays a recently slain police officer who joins the Rest In Peace Department and tries to find his own murderer. Bridges will play veteran cop in the department. [Source: The Wrap]

Oz: The Great And Powerful
Joey King (“Ramona and Beezus”) will play China Girl in Sam Raimi’s “Oz: The Great And Powerful” at Disney Pictures.

In the story, the character is made entirely of porcelain and sees her entire family destroyed by the evil witch Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and is taken under the wing of Oz (James Franco) who becomes a surrogate father. [Source: Variety]

American Reunion
“30 Rock” babe Katrina Bowden is on board to round out the cast of “American Reunion” at Universal Pictures.

Bowden will play the girlfriend of Oz (Chris Klein) who is an L.A. party girl type. [Source: Variety]
