Casting News: Radcliffe, Temple, Cage

Pinocchio
Daniel Radcliffe has reportedly approached filmmaker Guillermo del Toro “to get involved in” the latter’s upcoming stop-motion adaptation of “Pinocchio” which aims to hit cinemas in 2014.

Maleficent
Juno Temple has joined the cast of Robert Stromberg’s live-action “Maleficent”, Disney’s revisionist retelling of “Sleeping Beauty” starring Angelina Jolie as the title character. Shooting kicks off this Summer in London.

Temple will play one of three pixie fairies who are tasked with taking care of Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) in the cottage in the woods. Imelda Staunton and Lesley Manville have already been cast as the other two. [Source: Heat Vision]

Marble City
Nicolas Cage and Mickey Rourke are in talks to star in “Midnight Meat Train” director Ryuhei Kitamura’s “Marble City” for Stealth Media Group, Polaris Pictures and Premiere Pictures.

Tom Sjolund penned the script which follows a newly released prisoner who seeks revenge on those that put him inside, finding inner peace through vengeance. Shooting aims to kick off in early August. [Source: The Playlist]
