Netflix has acquired “30 Minutes Or Less” scribe Michael Diliberti’s untitled action/comedy feature pitch which will be made into a vehicle for “Top Gun: Maverick” co-stars Glen Powell (“Set It Up”) and Jay Ellis (“Insecure”). Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and Becky Sanderman will produce.

The story revolves around two young Secret Service agents who are stuck with the worst detail in the First Family… the President’s black sheep son. When the boy is kidnapped abroad, they have to step into the line of fire to get him back. [Source: Deadline]

The Gilded Rage
Christoph Waltz and Lily Collins will star with Bill Skarsgard in Charlie McDowell’s dramatic thriller “Gilded Rage” for XYZ Films. McDowell and Justin Lader penned the script which deals with the real-life brutal murder of Manhattan hedge fund manager Thomas Gilbert Sr. by his son Tommy. Riva Marker and Jake Gyllenhaal will produce and shooting begins spring 2020. [Source: Deadline]

Every Breath You Take
Casey Affleck, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Claflin and Veronica Ferres are set to star in “Sunshine Cleaning’ helmer Christine Jeffs’ indie feature “Every Breath You Take” which is set to shoot next month in Vancouver for 13 Films. Richard B. Lewis, Ferres and Frank Buchs produce.

Affleck plays a psychiatrist whose career is thrown into jeopardy when his patient takes her own life. When he invites his patient’s surviving brother (Claflin) into his home to meet his wife (Monaghan) and daughter, his family life is suddenly torn apart. [Source: THR]

The Little Things
Australian actor and former “The Librarians” co-star John Harlan Kim will join Denzel Washington in John Lee Hancock’s crime thriller “The Little Things” at Warner Bros. Pictures. Rami Malek and Jared Leto co-star in the film which is currently in production.

Washington plays a burned-out Kern County deputy sheriff named Deke, who teams with a crack LASD detective (Malek) to reel in a wily serial killer (Leto). Deke’s willingness to circumvent the rules embroils the detective in a soul-shattering dilemma. Kim will portray a rookie cop. [Source: Variety]
