Garrett Hedlund will play the lead in Matthew Michael Carnahan’s directorial debut “Violent Talent”. Margot Robbie, Toby Kebbell and Riz Ahmed also star.

Michael Mann’s Cyber Crime Film
Holt McCallany (“Lights Out,” “Below””) has scored the lead role opposite Chris Hemsworth and Viola Davis in Michael Mann’s untitled cyber terrorism film at Legendary Pictures.

McCallany will play a street-smart U.S. Marshal charged with the custody of Hemsworth’s character. Shooting begins this month in China. [Source: Deadline]

SNL’s Bill Hader is in talks to star in the indie comedy “Lawless” for RipCord Productions and Scott Pictures. “Yes Man” scribes Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel make their directorial debut on the comedy which aims to shoot this Summer in Atlanta.

The story centers on a high school reunion committee chairman who has to do whatever it takes to get the most popular guy from high school – now a successful commercials actor – to show up to their 20th reunion. Mike White and David Bernad will produce. [Source: THR]
