Turn of Mind
Annette Bening and Michelle Pfeiffer have signed on to star in Gideon Raff’s psychological thriller “Turn of Mind” based on Alice LaPlante’s bestseller and adapted by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright.

The story centers on a retired orthopaedic doctor suffering from Alzheimer’s who is trying to figure out – in her moments of clarity – if she killed the person the police claim she had, or if she’s being deceived. [Source: Variety]

Simon Pegg and Lulu Wilson (“The Haunting of Hill House,” “Annabelle: Creation”) have signed on to star in the independent action-thriller “Becky” which begins filming this summer under the helm of Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion.

Wilson will star as a rebellious 13-year-old on a weekend getaway at a lake house with her recently widowed father. A group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Pegg), suddenly invade the home and she decides to take matters into her own hands. [Source: Variety]

Naked Singularity
Ed Skrein will join John Boyega and Olivia Cooke in the legal drama “A Naked Singularity” at Scott Free Productions. Chase Palmer helms this adaptation of Sergio De La Pava’s debut novel with David Matthews adapting the script. The story centers on a successful New York public defender whose life begins to unravel after he loses his first case. [Source: Variety]

The Virtuoso
Anthony Hopkins, Anson Mount and Abbie Cornish are all set to star in Nick Stagliano’s noir thriller “The Virtuoso” which has been penned by James C. Wolf. Mount plays a professional assassin who must track down and kill his latest target to satisfy an outstanding debt to his mentor (Hopkins).

Unlike his other ‘jobs,’ this assignment offers little information beyond his target being in a rustic diner in a dying town at 5PM. Bound by obligation, he arrives – any one of the patrons in the diner could be the mark, even the enigmatic waitress (Cornish) who could prove to be a distraction that threatens to derail his task.
