Casting News Arnaud Brown Plaza Denman

Francois Arnaud (“The Borgias,” “Midnight Texas”) has signed on for the psychological horror indie feature “Home” from director Adam O’Brien and writer Philip Kalin-Hajdu. The story follows a woman named Meredith (Emily Hampshire), her husband Jared (Arnaud) and their son Alex (Christian Convery) who suddenly find themselves dealing with a horrific terror following a family tragedy. Shadow Force
Kerry Washington (“Scandal”) and Sterling K. Brown (“The Predator”) are attached to star in and produce the Leon Chills-scripted action drama “Shadow Force”. The project is dubbed a fresh take on “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” with Washington and Pilar Savone to produce. [Source: Deadline]

Aubrey Plaza has signed on to star in Netflix’s romantic comedy feature “Hope” which Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami (“The Breaker Upperers”) will direct from a script by “Legally Blonde” scribes Karen McCullah and Kirsten ‘Kiwi’ Smith.

The romantic comedy follows the crazy lengths a woman in her mid-30s is willing to go to when she discovers the perfect man. The script is said to address the societal pressure that women face to find a partner and settle down. Michael Costigan, Jason Bateman, Lundi Shackleton and Philippe Palacios will produce. David Denman (“Brightburn,” “The Office”) has joined the Ric Roman Waugh-directed thriller “Greenland” at STX. Basil Iwanyk is producing.
