The Devil You Know
Damien Molony (“Being Human”), Karen Gillan (“Doctor Who”) and Zawe Ashton (“Fresh Meat”) are set to join Julian Rhind-Tutt, Ewen Bremner and Eddie Izzard in HBO’s “The Devil You Know”.

The show will look at the infamous Salem Witch Trials in 17th century New England as neighbour was set against neighbour leading a town to mass hysteria. Filming begins this Spring on Boston. [Source: io9]

Untitled Richard Pryor Biopic
Eddie Murphy is in talks to join the cast of Lee Daniels’ untitled Richard Pryor biopic at The Weinstein Company. Oprah Winfrey and Kate Hudson are rumored for supporting roles.

Mike Epps is attached to star as the legendary late comedian and Murphy will play his father, LeRoy ‘Buck Carter’ Pryor, who was a boxer and WWII veteran. [Source: Variety]

Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk
Beau Knapp (“Run All Night”) has joined the supporting cast of Ang Lee’s adaptation of Ben Fountain’s novel “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk”. Knapp will play Crack, a cocksure good ol’ Alabama boy with violent tendencies.

The story follows a nineteen-year-old private and his buddies who are brought home by the U.S. administration and paraded for a promotional victory lap leading up to the halftime show of a Thanksgiving Day football game that precedes the troops’ return to the front. [Source: Deadline]

Lucifer
Nicholas Gonzalez, DB Woodside and Rachael Harris have joined the cast of Fox’s comic book drama pilot “Lucifer”. Tom Ellis plays Lucifer who resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for Los Angeles where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.

Woodside, will play Amenadiel, an angel sent to L.A. to persuade Lucifer to return to hell. Harris is Linda, a therapist Lucifer initially encounters when working with Chloe to solve a case. Gonzalez will play a gruff LAPD homicide detective, who is wary of Lucifer’s (Ellis) involvement with his wife and daughter. [Source: Deadline]

Michelle Darnell
Timothy Simmons (“Veep”) is set to join the cast of Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone’s new comedy “Michelle Darnell”. Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates also star.

McCarthy would play a former finance guru who gets locked up for insider trading and emerges to discover that her former associates and friends want payback for her misdemeanours. [Source: Empire]
