French actor Jean Dujardin (“The Artist”) will star opposite Cecile de France (“Hereafter”) in Eric Rochant’s thriller-romance, “Mobius” for Recifilms, Axel Films, Les Productions and EuropaCorp.
Set in Monte Carlo, in the world of high finance, Dujardin plahys an experienced spy tracking a powerful oligarch suspected of laundering money through his bank, and de France as a bright young trader. [Source: Variety]
Brit actor Barry Sloane (“Hollyoaks”) is set to join Michelle Monaghan and Michael Keaton in Joseph Ruben’s thriller “Penthouse North” for Dimension Films.
Monaghan plays a blind photojournalist forced to play a deadly game of cat and mouse with a sadistic criminal (Keaton) who will stop at nothing to retrieve a fortune of stolen diamonds hidden in her penthouse apartment.
Sloane will play Chad, Keaton’s partner in crime, who poses as a helpful stranger in order to get a crucial piece of information. His own life is endangered when he is forced to call his sadistic boss for help. Shooting kicks off next month in Ottawa. [Source: Variety]
“Brothers and Sisters” star Luke Grimes has joined the cast of Olivier Megaton’s action sequel “Taken 2” for 20th Century Fox and EuropaCorp.
In the sequel, retired CIA agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his ex-wife (Famke Janssen) are held hostage by the father (Rade Serbedzija) of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.
Grimes will play the love interest of Maggie Grace’s daughter character. Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen penned the sequel. [Source: Variety]
