The Advocates
“Southland” and “The OC” star Ben McKenzie is set to co-star in CBS’ drama pilot “The Advocates”. “The Mentalist” showrunner Bruno Heller will write and executive produce.

The story revolves around a female lawyer and a male ex-con who team as “victim advocates” and go to the edge of the law to right wrongs and fight for the underdog. [Source: The Live Feed]

This Is Where I Leave You
Corey Stoll (“House of Cards,” “C.O.G.”) is set to join the cast of Shawn Levy’s comedy “This Is Where I Leave You” at Warner Bros. Pictures. Stoll will play the brother of Jason Bateman’s character, while Tina Fey also stars.

An adaptation of the Jonathan Tropper novel, the story follows a dysfunctional and idiosyncratic family in which the father’s death forces four grown siblings to spend a week together in the house where they grew up for the first time in a decade. [Source: Variety]

The One I Love
Elisabeth Moss, Mark Duplass and Ted Danson have joined the cast of Charlie McDowell’s indie film “The One I Love”. Justin Lader penned the script.

Moss and Duplass play a young couple with marital problems and Danson will play their therapist. Mel Eslyn is producing. [Source: Deadline]

X + Y
Asa Butterfield (“Hugo”) is attached and Rafe Spall is in talks for Morgan Matthews’ drama “X + Y” at Origin. Filming kicks off in the UK this summer.
