No Glory
“The Big Sick” star Kumail Nanjiani is set to lead the spy action comedy “No Glory” which is based on an original manuscript by National Security Operative and author Scott Shephard. The story deals with Shephard’s time in service but specifics are under wraps.

“Corporate Animals” scribe Sam Bain will pen the adaptation while Adam McKay, Chris Henchy, Will Ferrell, David Carrico and Adam Paulsen will produce. Source: THR]

Strange Angel
Angus Macfadyen (“Braveheart”) has been set to play the infamous Aleister Crowley, founder of Thelema, opposite Jack Reynor in the second season of the CBS All Access series “Strange Angel”. The story explores the bizarre true story of Jack Parsons a pioneer of America’s rocketry program while simultaneously practising sex magick rituals.

In season two, the U.S. is fully engaged in World War II, transforming Jack’s rocketry work into a lucrative business. He and his wife’s devotion to their new occult religion grows, leading them to invite the sex cult and its leader Crowley into their Pasadena mansion. [Source: Deadline]

Run Sweetheart Run
Ella Balinska, Pilou Asbaek, Clark Gregg, Aml Ameen, Dayo Okeniyi, Betsy Brandt and Shohreh Aghdashloo have been set to star in the horror-thriller “Run Sweetheart Run” for Blumhouse Productions. Kiana Madeira and Olivia Welch have joined the cast of the “Fear Street” film trilogy based on the books by “Goosebumps” writer R.L. Stine – the pair will play their roles, gay teenagers navigating a rocky relationship, across all three films. Leigh Janiak (“Honeymoon”) will helm the first and third film while Alex Ross Perry (“Her Smell”) directs the second with all three films being shot back-to-back and then released a month apart.
