Half of a Yellow Sun
Joseph Mawle (“Game of Thrones,” “Clapham Junction”) has joined Thandie Newton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anika Noni Rose and John Boyega in Biyi Bandele’s “Half of a Yellow Sun” which is currently shooting in Nigeria and London.

The story is based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel about Biafra’s struggle to establish an independent republic in Nigeria. Newton and Rose portray twin sisters while Ejiofor plays a proferssor and Mawle an English writer. [Source: Variety]

The Tomb
Sam Neill will play a prison doctor in Mikael Hafstrom’s action thriller “The Tomb” at Summit Entertainment which has begun production in New Orleans.

Sylvester Stallone plays a man who must escape from a high-tech prison facility of his own design. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson,, Jim Caviezel, Amy Ryan, Vincent D’Onofrio and Vinnie Jones also star. [Source: The Daily Blam]

Lily Tomlin has joined the cast of Paul Weitz’s dramedy “Admission” which begins production this week. Gloria Reueben, Wallace Shawn and Michael Sheen also recently joined the cast.

Tina Fey plays an admissions officer at Princeton University whose life is thrown for a curve when she runs into an old friend (Paul Rudd) while visiting an experimental New Hampshire high school. [Source: Screen Daily]

Tarzan 3D
Mark Deklin (“GCB”) has joined the cast of Reinhard Klooss’ 3D CGI motion-capture version of Tarzan at Constantin. Shooting kicks off this week in Munich.

Deklin will play Tarzan’s father, who is exploring the site of a mysterious ancient meteorite and is on the brink of a discovery when he dies alongside his wife (Jaime Ray Newman). Kellan Lutz and Spencer Locke will play Tarzan and Jane respectively. [Source: Heat Vision]
