Lady Chatterley’s Lover
Rob Stark himself, “Game of Thrones” star Richard Madden, will play gamekeeper Oliver Mellors in a TV movie adaptation of D.H. Lawrence’s “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” for BBC1. Jed Mercurio (“Line of Duty”) helms the project which will come from “Sherlock” producer Hartswood Films

Madden joins Holliday Grainger (“The Borgias”) as Lady Chatterley and James Norton (“Happy Valley”) as her war-wounded husband Sir Clifford Chatterley. [Source: The Guardian]

Queen of Earth
Michelle Dockery (“Downton Abbey”) has joined the cast of Alex Ross Perry’s indie psychological thriller “Queen of Earth”. Joe Swanberg is producing.

Dockery and Elisabeth Moss play two women who retreat to a beach house to get a break from the pressures of the outside world. Although they grew up as best friends, they soon realize how disconnected from each other they have become. [Source: THR]

Ving Rhames has joined the cast of Obin and Amariah Olson’s indie action-thriller “Operator”. Mischa Barton, Michael Pare, and Luke Goss also star.

The story follows a 911 operator and her estranged cop husband whose daughter is abducted, forcing them to dispatch the city’s police and fire units to remote locations at the kidnappers’ bidding. [Source: Deadline]

Peter Firth (“Spooks”) has been cast as Pontius Pilate in Kevin Reynolds’ 1st century-set mystery thriller “Clavius” at LD Entertainment. Joseph Fiennes, Tom Felton, Leonor Watling, Antonio Gil, Maria Botto, and Cliff Curtis also star.

The story follows an agnostic Roman Centurion tasked with investigating the rumored resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth in order to stop an uprising in Jerusalem. Filming is underway in Malta and Spain. [Source: Deadline]
