“Spooks” and “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” star David Oyelowo has joined the cast of Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln” currently shooting in Virginia.
Oyelowo will play the role of a cavalryman. He’ll shoot the film concurrently with his commitment to the Jack Reacher movie “One Shot” which is now filming in Pittsburgh. [Source: Deadline]

Amy Adams has been offered the female lead in Robert Lorenz’s drama “Trouble with the Curve” at Warner Bros. Pictures, but issue with her scheduling will determine if she can do it.

Red Light Winter
Kirsten Dunst is joining Mark Ruffalo and Billy Crudup in Adam Rapp’s indie drama film adaptation of his own play “A Red Light Winter”
The story focuses on two male friends who go to Amsterdam to rekindle their friendship, but things change when they meet a prostitute (Dunst). Shooting begins in January. [Source: The Press Association]
“Super 8” star Elle Fanning will join Alice Englert in Sally Potter’s new 60’s London-set drama “Bomb” at BFI and BBC Films.

Elvis and Nixon
Luke Wilson is in talks and Kevin Connolly has signed to join the cast of the Cary Elwes-directed indie drama “Elvis & Nixon” which deals with a famed meeting between Elvis Presley (Eric Bana) and Richard Nixon (Danny Huston) in 1970.
Wilson would play Sonny, one of Presley’s “Memphis Mafia” who travels with him to Washington. Connolly is playing a character named Ronnie, a limo driver. Shooting kicks off in Louisiana in January. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]
