The Equalizer
Vladimir Kulich (“Vikings,” “The 13th Warrior”) has joined the cast of the Denzel Washington-led $50 million big screen reboot of “The Equalizer” at Sony Pictures.

Scott Adsit will star opposite Melissa McCarthy in Ted Melfi’s coming-of-age story “St. Vincent de Van Nuys” at The Weinstein Company. Naomi Watts, Chris O’dowd and Terrence Howard also star.

Far from the Madding Crowd
Tom Sturridge (“On the Road,” “The Boat that Rocked”) is set to join Matthias Schoenaerts and Carey Mulligan in an adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s “Far From The Madding Crowd” at Fox Searchlight.
