Ben Kingsley and Alessandra Mastronardi have signed on to star in Anton Corbijn’s indie drama “Life” which is currently shooting in Toronto. No details on either of their characters is available.

James Badge Dale (“Iron Man 3,” “World War Z”) is in negotiations to star in Nic Mathieu’s supernatural thriller “Spectral” for Legendary Pictures.

Untitled Heist Film
“That Awkward Moment” director Tom Gormican and co-stars Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan have signed on to re-team for an “Ocean’s Eleven”-style heist film set in Macau for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Both actors are rumored to be a part of Josh Trank’s “Fantastic Four” reboot so if that casting goes through, this film wouldn’t happen until after that shoot. [Source: The Wrap]

Gods of Egypt
French actress Elodie Yung (“District 13: Ultimatum,” “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”) has been cast as the goddess Hathor in Alex Proyas’ “Gods of Egypt” at Summit Entertainment.

Gerard Butler, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Brenton Thwaites, Chadwick Boseman and Geoffrey Rush also star in the story about a thief and a god on a magical quest in ancient Egypt. [Source: Deadline]

Terrence Howard has scored the starring role in Fox’s hip-hop family drama series “Empire”. Lee Daniels and Danny Strong will produce the series.
