The Secret in their Eyes
Nicole Kidman is in negotiations to replace Gwyneth Paltrow in Billy Ray’s English-language remake of the Argentinian thriller “The Secret in Their Eyes”. Julia Roberts and Chiwetel Ejiofor also star.

Juan Jose Campanella’s original film followed a retired attorney who pens book in an effort to seek closure for both an unsolved case and for an unrequited love for his former superior. In the process, decades-long secrets are revealed. [Source: THR]

Untitled Joel Edgerton Project
Rebecca Hall (“Iron Man 3,” “Transcendence”) is set to star in Joel Edgerton’s untitled suspense thriller directorial debut for Blumhouse and Blue-Tongue Films.

Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, though Edgerton wrote the script and will co-star. Rebecca Yeldham will produce and shooting begins early next year. [Source: The Wrap]

Voice from the Stone
Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) and Marton Csokas (“XXX”) are onboard 13 Films’ supernatural thriller “Voice from the Stone” which is moving forward and will begin shooting this month in Italy.

Clarke plays a nurse hired to care for a boy who lives alone with his father in a haunted manor in Tuscany following the untimely death of his mother. [Source: Screen]

Keeping Up with the Joneses
Isla Fisher is set to join the spy comedy “Keeping Up With the Joneses” for Fox 2000. Greg Mottola (“Adventureland”) is directing from a script by Mike LeSieur.

The story follows a suburban couple (Fisher, Zach Galifianakis) who discover their picture-perfect new neighbors are actually undercover spies. Hamm plays one of the neighbors. [Source: The Wrap]

“True Blood” actor Jim Parrack has scored a recurring role on ABC’s supernatural drama series “Resurrection”. Parrack will appear in four episodes starting in January.

Parrack will play a charismatic member of the “Returned,” a larger-than-life preacher from the 1930s with ties to both Bellamy’s (Omar Epps) birth family and the Langstons. [Source: The Live Feed]
